This descriptive analytical on-going study examines the engagement of Indonesian high school students as they participated in classroom activity, particularly whole class discussion settings. The is investigated three measures, word count, unprovoked student talk and turn count. While focus on talk, teacher will also be measured with purpose examining interaction to serve a comparison measures talk. participants 380 grade 10-12 who enrolled private High School. Data was extracted from recording 30 meeting sessions. ascertained based an analysis transcripts observation. And these transcripts, engagement, count were counted. findings this ratio 5:1 where dominated low terms lecture Recommendation procedure provided.
